Technischer Direktor in China

For our client we are looking for a Technical Director for the Plastic and Automotive Industry.

Responsibilities:

Management responsibility for the technical area including production, technology, logistics, purchasing and quality management
Close coordination with General Manager
Close contact with the relevant central departments in HQ
Profit & loss responsibility
Project budget control; responsible for production in technical and economic Terms; coordinate and take responsibility for project management together with the project leaders
Reporting to the board of directors; preparation of technical statistics as well as quarterly and annual reports
Conceptual development and optimization in technical and economic terms (production processes, work procedures, quality, service)
Compliance with customer requirements regarding quality, delivery times, quantities, costs, technical specifications
Minimization of waste and disposal costs and compliance with all environmentally relevant regulations
Permanently ensuring the optimum operating capacity
Planning and implementation of new building investments, machinery and plant Projects

Tasks:

Manage and control according to set objectives and results
Develop and implement the company strategy for production under consideration of the company’s medium and long-term goals
Creation of budgets, medium and long-term planning, investment planning for the technical area
Coordinate decisions with the head office and the General Manager
Managing the company together with the commercial manager
Information networking with all central departments
Implementation of new technical developments into successful products
Technical management of all key projects
Accompanying the most important projects on a technical level, possibly taking over project management
Control of material management and the expansion of local sourcing
Further development of production processes and procedures (productivity, costs)
Close cooperation with all relevant departments
Support in conducting negotiations with suppliers, partners, etc.
Support for contract negotiations and design with suppliers
Consistent management, education, training and motivation of the technical staff
Plan, realize, and ensure cost-effective and efficient production
Assume representation tasks; intensive networking with regard to public life
Support of key accounts

Requirements:

Completion of a technical degree or equivalent acquired knowledge in other ways
Strong business-management skills
Previous experience in automotive and/or plastic component business advantageous
At least 10 years management experience and minimum 5 years in a similar position
Several years’ experience in leading Chinese employees
Fluent communication in German is a must, English necessary and Chinese an advantage
Readiness to live and work in the Liaoning Province
Absolutely reliable and trustworthy
Good team player with strong skills in communication, organization and motivation as well as
ability to manage tasks with flexibility, foresight and logic
